Rev. David Brack

Pastor Brack is a native Texan. Having grown up
in Austin and graduated from McCallum High School, he went to Tyler Junior
College on a football scholarship from 1966-68. He then returned to the
University of Texas in Austin to finish a BA degree in Philosophy. Prior to his
graduation from UT in 1970 he met Betty
Richey, from Corpus Christi, Texas and they were married in 1972. From 1970 -
1991 David served as a Young Life Area Director, first for four years in Waco,
Tx. and then for seventeen years in Amarillo. He left his senior Young Life
position to pursue full time pastoral ministry in the OPC in 1991. He was
ordained as a minsiter in the OPC and installed as our pastor in 1993.

Since
his ordination he has preached through the Pastoral Epistles (1
Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus), the Gospel of Mark, Galatians, Ephesians,
Philippians, Ezekiel, selected Psalms, the first 20 chapters
of Exodus/Ten Commandments, and Matthew 5-7, the Sermon on the
Mount, and the Westminster Shorter Catechism, the Apostles'
Creed and a variety of doctrinal and pastoral topics. You

is currently serving on the board of Westminster
Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. He enjoys handball,
camping, reading, working in his yard and listening
to a wide variety of music, everything from classical to
country to pop to rock to jazz to opera to bluegrass
to folk to Celtic to a local Amarillo genre known as cow-jazz!
David and Betty have four grown children, and three beautiful
grandchildren.
